Dr. Jun Ma, Senior Lecturer in University of South Australia He got his PhD from the Institute of Chemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (September 1999 – July 2002), then as a research Fellow at the University of Sydney (2002–2007), Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship (2005–2008). 2008-present, he became a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at University of South Australia. He has published 36 refereed journal papers since 2002 (cited over 400 times). His research interest: Modification of graphene and fabrication of their polymer nanocomposites; Development of novel absorbents for environmental contaminants; Biodegradable nanocomposites; Development of advanced adhesives using nanomaterials for automotive industry.
报告摘要:
Polymer/clay nanocomposites have been extensively studied over the past 20 years. With graphene now hailed as the next generation of material in science and technology, what are the differences between graphene and clay, will graphene be a more promising candidate for functional polymer nanocomposites, and what are current challenges in fabricating graphene/polymer nanocomposites? These questions will be addressed in this presentation by reporting recent Jun Ma group's work.
